Erica’s Wish blanket program at SickKids Hospital and Canadian Cancer Society

On July 13, 2010, Erica’s Wish launched the Erica’s Wish blanket program at the Hospital for Sick Children. Each month 20 – 30 Erica’s Wish blankets are given to the hospital to deliver to children diagnosed with cancer. When a child is admitted to Oncology, they will receive a blanket upon admission to comfort them through their tests and treatments. When Erica was diagnosed she had a blanket that she carried with her through tests, treatments and her modified amputation. This blanket served as a source of comfort for her. Erica’s Wish wanted to ensure other children diagnosed would have the same comfort as her blanket once gave her. For more information on this program, please contact info@ericaswish.com
