South Mississauga business stars recognize

 

The event, held at Clarke Hall in Port Credit, was hosted by Mississauga South MPP Charles Sousa.
“No community values entrepreneurship and small business more than the Port Credit BIA,” said Ellen Timms, general manager of the Port Credit BIA. “We appreciate the passion that drives them and the contributions that they make to our local economy and community. The new Stars of Mississauga South business awards gives us an opportunity to celebrate and honour them.”
Businesses were nominated by residents in six categories.
The Little Green Schoolhouse, an eco-friendly learning centre for pre-school to senior kindergarten children in Applewood Acres, was the winner in Green Business Excellence.
Westaire Air Conditioning & Heating took top honours in Community Impact Excellence.
Registered massage therapist Paul Lewis was the star in Service Excellence. 
Solstice Restaurant & Wine Bar won in the category of Hospitality Excellence.
Mississauga Life Magazine was named the “Rising Star.”
ReMax Realty’s Theresa Baird was best in Networking Excellence/MBOT Connector.
