I am excited to present this DVD Dynamic Intergrative Massage Techniques for the Upper Body. Included in this presentation are techniques that can augment the massage therapist’s preferred treatment as well as illustrated techniques for the massage therapy student. This DVD can be used in Sections and is based on an interpreted case study. I will be demonstrating a variety of therapeutic techniques including Dynamic Angular Pettrissage focusing on the upper limbs, head/neck/shoulders, abdominals and back. DAP(Dynamic Angular Petrissage) is a powerful, safe and effective technique because in addition to requiring very little effort from the therapist, you will be able to continually assess the clients progress; the range of motion, tissue plyability, mobiity, texture, tone, tenderness and temperature while treating. DAP will aid in better awareness of your own posture and body mechanics. You will find that the techniques shown in this video are universal and can be adapted for various treatment approaches using both the Massage Table and Massage Chair. I have integrated a case study to effectively support the clinical reasoning and rational for modalities, treatment positions, structures addressed and techniques utilized. I have also included a section on tissue preparation using Hydrotherapy on both the table and chair. For clients that are unable to lay in a prone position, alternative treatment positions and draping options to move the client from the table to the chair is demonstrated. I've also included a section called Lewis Circles, which is an exercise you can use as self care for both you and your clients. |
